A recent study revealed that 81% of Atlantic France inhabitants consider themselves as “happy”. This is the highest rate in France, confirming how sweet life is in our region!
The Territories Barometer is a French annual study carried out on 10,000 people by the study institute Elabe and the think tank Institut Montaigne in partnership with the national train company SNCF.
According to the 2021 barometer, Atlantic France is the French region with the highest proportion of people saying they are happy: 81%, against 72% on average in France. 42% of the inhabitants even consider themselves “very happy”, when the national average is 38%.
Atlantic France’s main assets: environment, economy and social life
In Atlantic France, 70% of the inhabitants believe that their region is a good place to live. 6 out of 10 feel they have chosen the life they lead and the same proportion of people are optimistic about their personal future.
When it comes to the main reasons for the region’s attractiveness, the environment is mentioned first (41%), but the economic dynamism is also highlighted by 22% of the interviewees (#2 in France).
Last but not least, half of Atlantic France’s inhabitants estimate they have a rich social life (#1 in France) and nearly 40% even claim that their region has no flaws!
