Business France’s preliminary report, set for full release on the 1st of April, highlights the country’s enduring appeal, with 1,688 foreign investment decisions recorded.
The trend remains positive, particularly in terms of investor loyalty. In 2024, 72% of the internationally-owned companies that invested in France were already present in the country. These companies chose to reinvest in their existing sites or establish new facilities, demonstrating their continued confidence in the market.

The Atlantic France region achieved a record year for international investment in 2024, with 88 new projects recorded (+7.5% compared to 2023) and the creation or preservation of 2,420 jobs, according to Business France.
The 2024 international investment landscape in Atlantic France reflects a balanced regional distribution, with notable projects across all five departments. International investment was primarily driven by production and manufacturing (45%), followed by retail (23%) and business services (10%), highlighting the region’s strong industrial and commercial appeal.
The United States accounted for the highest number of projects (16%), followed by the Netherlands (13%) and Germany (10%). In terms of job creation, Dutch (28%) and American (27%) investors generated the most employment opportunities.

- E3 IdentiFlight (Germany) – the firm uses AI to protect birds in wind farms by triggering automatic turbine shutdowns. It plans to create 10 jobs in Nantes.

- Holcim (Switzerland) – with a €20 million investment in Mayenne, Holcim is enhancing waste recovery to support its CO2 reduction goals.
