In 2024, Business Solutions Atlantic France supported international companies across diverse sectors, ranging from decarbonisation to cutting-edge technologies, ensuring growth and long-term success in the region. Here is a review of the year’s highlights.
As the global economy continues its post-pandemic transition, 2025 is set to be a pivotal year for sustainable development and technological innovation.
Our business advisors are committed to helping international companies establish themselves in France. They have observed significant growth in sectors poised to shape the future, such as ecological transition, circular economy, and sustainable mobility.
Effective support for 116 international companies
Adrien Huchet, who supported international companies predominantly from the Netherlands and Italy, noted a strong interest in decarbonisation projects that combine innovation with practical applications. This trend aligns with regional priorities to build a robust ecosystem around sustainability and recycling.
Benoît Delaplace provided support to companies from the USA and Canada, with a sharper focus on projects in cleantech, mobility, BlueTech, and energy. One notable initiative involved a Californian startup working on carbon capture technology. Benoît facilitated key connections with a regional energy partner, enabling the startup to develop a biomass boiler demonstrator.
Nathalie Garry supported international projects from companies based in Germany, Holland, and Nordic countries, including a Norwegian scaleup specialising in innovative battery technology. The company is exploring the possibility of setting up in the port of Nantes Saint-Nazaire and aims to create an initial 150 jobs, with potential growth to 400.
Madoka Hebert supported companies mainly from Japan and South Korea, as well as Taiwan and China. She observed that scaleups and SMEs in sectors such as mobility, circular economy, marine transportation, renewable energy, and agrifood are increasingly targeting the French market.
Agathe Corre, who assisted companies from the UK, Ireland, and the USA, noted that political uncertainty in France posed challenges for international players. However, companies with a focus on long-term innovation are well-positioned to thrive. Agathe supported players in sectors such as industrial decarbonisation and marine renewables, and she also served as the primary contact for Composite Recycling, one of our key 2024 achievements.
Composite Recycling: a benchmark success story
Composite Recycling is a Swiss firm specialising in recycling composites. With our assistance, the company successfully established its first industrial unit in Loire-Atlantique in partnership with Veolia. Set to commence operations in January 2025, this project underscores the region’s commitment to sustainability while driving local job creation and industrial growth.
By pitching at the Seanergy event and joining the Village By Crédit Agricole accelerator, the company has integrated itself into the region’s dynamic innovation network. The hiring of their first employee in Nantes marks the beginning of a broader expansion in the years ahead.
