The startup Smart Macadam, which is based in Nantes in the Atlantic France region, has developed innovative solutions to help preserve the autonomy of the most vulnerable people. The company has just raised €630,000 to help accelerate the development of Mementop, its app for the elderly.
Launched in 2018 by Laurent Maury, who is the former founder of the popular websites 01net.com and telecharger.com, SmartMacadam advocates the use of technology to help improve the daily lives of people made vulnerable by age, disability or illness. The Mementop solution it has designed and developed is intended for seniors and their caregivers.
Mementop: a solution to preserve the autonomy of the elderly
Nantes-based startup Smart Macadam has raised €630,000 in order to speed up the development of its Mementop solution. It offers seniors and their caregivers various key functions within the same application: a shared activity diary, smart notes, an interactive memory album and memory training games.
It consists of a smartphone application, a customisable printed newsletter and an exclusive assistance service. Based on artificial intelligence, this solution aims to anticipate and prevent any risk of loss of autonomy for its users, especially those suffering from a neuro-evolutionary disease such as Alzheimer’s.
This fundraising campaign, carried out in partnership with private investors and the investment fund of the bank Crédit Agricole Atlantique Vendée, will allow the company to add new functions to the application and to finance specific developments for new devices, such as TVs and connected watches.
A solution supported by The France Alzheimer association
Supported by the France Alzheimer association, the solution Mementop has been available in France since November 2021 and should be soon deployed in other territories. The company, which employs a dozen people, offers its solution to insurance and catering companies and senior residences.
