The company from Atlantic France Vite Mon Marché offers a home delivery service of fresh and high quality food. Boosted by Covid lockdowns which increased the demand, the startup is growing fast and is now delivering up into the neighbouring region of Brittany.
Reynald Naulleau, son of a Vendée farmer, wanted to promote local products and develop short food supply chains. With his wife, they created the website vitemonmarche.fr which offers an innovative grocery delivery service.
On-demand local products at home within a couple of hours
The company founded in 2018 works with hundreds of producers. Like at the market, customers can buy all kinds of goods, from fresh food (fruit and vegetables, meat and fish, dairy, bakery, etc.) to groceries and even cosmetics. The website offers over 1,500 products ; 65% are organic and 85% are produced locally.
Vite Mon Marché (“Quick My Market” in French) has made delivery time its top priority: if the order is sent before 11am, the distribution can be programmed on the same day between 2pm and 9pm! And thanks to connected delivery vans, the company is now aiming to deliver in less than one hour.
Territorial expansion and quick business growth
In June 2019, the startup raised €2.3 million to accelerate its growth. At first only available to inhabitants of Nantes, Vite Mon Marché is gradually expanding its delivery zone in Atlantic France, but also in Brittany: the service is now available in the urban areas of La Roche-sur-Yon, Cholet, Saint-Nazaire and Rennes. The expansion should carry on during the next months in cities such as Angers, Vannes, Bordeaux, Lyon, etc.
In 2020, the startup tripled its business. Covid lockdowns significantly increased the demand for home delivery services and Vite Mon Marché has been capturing the attention of the media. The company is now receiving 250 orders per day on average, relies on 40 employees and is expecting to reach an annual turnover of €4 million.
