The H24 is a groundbreaking racing car. This electric-hydrogen prototype was developed in Atlantic France as part of the MissionH24 project. The objective is to prepare the creation of a hydrogen powered category for the 2024 edition of the 24 Hours of Le Mans.
The famous Le Mans endurance race has always been an ideal showcase for innovation. From 2024, electric-hydrogen cars will be allowed to compete, allowing this technology to be experienced under difficult conditions.
To prepare for this evolution, the MissionH24 was launched in September 2018 by the Automobile Club de l’Ouest (organiser of the 24 Hours of Le Mans race) with a technological partner, GreenGT.
The “H24Racing team” first developed a prototype called LMPH2G. Last September, it unveiled a new version called H24 which opened the 88th edition of the famous race.

Clean technology to develop new mobilities
Hydrogen powered vehicles only release water into the atmosphere. Atlantic France is committed to developing the green hydrogen sector, and the MissionH24 initiative is at the forefront of these efforts.
Our ambition was to show step by step that hydrogen technology was not science fiction, but a concrete, efficient, and promising solution, and above all a guarantor of competition and zero emission mobility.

A hydrogen refuelling station in Le Mans
In partnership with Le Mans metropolis, the Automobile Club de l’Ouest is also promoting the use of hydrogen with the installation of a permanent multi-vehicle hydrogen refuelling station in the area of the 24 Hours of Le Mans circuit.
